The Process
I’ve designed a 3 step process to make it as easy as possible. These steps ensure I know exactly what your goals and wishes are for the photoshoot. It gives me an opportunity to get to know you and make an important connection that will be important to a successful photoshoot. You will also have the opportunity to explain your goals and how I can taylor the photoshoot to your family’s specific needs. It will also take the pressure off so that you can enjoy the photoshoot from start to finish.
Step 1: Consultation
Once you book your session I will contact you to schedule an in-person, telephone or video-conference consultation to discuss your goals for the session. If you’re not sure about booking a session without speaking to me first, please feel free to call.
Step 2: Photoshoot
Enjoy a fun and easy going session at the location of your choosing. I will work with you and your family to strike the most flattering poses and capture genuine expressions. Your generational photos will be beautifully light through the use of lighting equipment that I will bring and setup.
Step 3: Reveal
One to two weeks after your session is complete, you will receive a link to your own personalized proof gallery. You can select your favorites for final editing and retouching. You will receive the final images in the gallery where they can be downloaded and shared. I will also present you with print options at this time.

Techniques and Process:
We tailor this session to honor each generation, ensuring that every individual feels included and cherished. The shoot blends posed family portraits with candid moments, capturing everything from heartwarming interactions between grandparents and grandchildren to the whole family gathered together.
Our approach includes:
- Natural group poses: We arrange families in natural, comfortable groupings, highlighting the bonds between generations while ensuring everyone looks their best. We also provide a variety of setups, from formal portraits to more relaxed poses.
- Candid connections: In addition to posed shots, we focus on capturing spontaneous moments of interaction, such as a grandparent sharing a laugh with a grandchild or siblings hugging each other, adding authenticity and warmth to your gallery.
- Lighting for all ages: We use soft, flattering lighting to ensure that every family member, from the youngest to the eldest, looks radiant in their portraits.
- Environmental storytelling: Whether in a beautiful outdoor location or your home, we use the environment to create a sense of place and history, making your family photos even more meaningful.
The session can last 1-2 hours, allowing ample time for individual portraits, group shots of each family, and special combinations such as all the grandchildren together or the grandparents with their children. We also encourage families to bring heirlooms or special items that reflect their family history, adding personal touches to the shoot.
Deliverables:
You will receive a curated collection of high-resolution images, perfect for printing and sharing. This package also includes options for creating custom photo albums and framed prints, ideal for preserving your family’s legacy for future generations to cherish.

Generation Legacy: $499

Candid Connections Add-On: $150

When a photoshoot is scheduled, 50% of the session fee must be paid upfront and is not refundable 2 weeks prior to the photoshoot.
