The Process

I’ve designed a 3 step process to make it as easy as possible. These steps ensure I know exactly what your goals and wishes are for the photoshoot. They also take the pressure off so that you can enjoy the photoshoot from start to finish.

The Studio

My photography studio is located in the heart of Old Towne Petersburg on Old Street in the historic Appomattox Iron Works building. The studio is designed for comfort and photography, featuring the only custom built cyclorama in the Tri-Cities area! Enjoy a relaxed, no rush atmosphere that includes refreshments and a private changing/restroom.

Step 1: Consultation

Once you book your session I will contact you to schedule an in-person or video-conference consultation to discuss your goals for the session. For lifestyle portraits we will also talk about locations and the best times to shoot there. If you’re not sure about booking a session without speaking to me first, please feel free to call.

Step 2: Photoshoot

Enjoy a fun and easy going session in the studio. No pressure here, I promise! I will work with you to strike the most flattering poses and capture genuine expressions. You receive one hour in the studio but if we need more time it is available. Unlimited wardrobe changes, poses and expressions within the allotted time. There is comfortable space for family and friends during the photoshoot. Light refreshments, clean restrooms and a changing area are ready for your use.

Step 3: Reveal

One to two weeks after your session is complete, I’ll invite you back for an in person order session where we review your session images and make your final product selections. You can select as many images and you like. Each image selected costs $50 and receives my professional editing and retouching techniques. You will also receive digital versions for sharing on social media and an 8×10 print. I will also share examples of your photos as fine art print tailored to your home. Albums and other unique print options will be available for your review.

Pricing

Session Fee: $175
Per Photo Fee: $50

Portrait Photoshoots include the following:

consultation in the studio, on Zoom or by phone
1 hour
studio cyclorama, equipment and setup
up to 4 persons (each additional person over 4 incurs a $50 fee)
unlimited wardrobe changes
photo proofs are available for review within 1 week in an online gallery
selected photos are edited and retouched and made available via download

When a photoshoot is scheduled, the session fee must be paid up front and is not refundable. During the reveal I will review the photos included with the session and you may also select other photos for $50 each. This fee includes my exclusive editing and retouching services.
